Acoustic speakers: the usual does not mean the best h5>
If you need acoustics for the house, you are unlikely to seriously think about such a phenomenon as the very shape of the enclosure in which the speakers are placed. That is not surprising: for us acoustic speakers b> so common were all sorts of “boxes”, boxes and columns of varying degrees of rectangularity that another form of the device to reproduce the sound is difficult.
And meanwhile, “boxed” acoustic systems b> sound, as it turns out, not in the best quality. And it’s not about dynamics, or other technical conventions.
So what’s the deal? The exact answer is in the form of a body.
Acoustic speaker. Sound in the “box” h5>
“Box” the case of an acoustic speaker b>, – not a resonator of a musical instrument. It does not have to sound like a drum, or a guitar. Its purpose, just the opposite, is to extinguish all extraneous (as they say, “parasitizing”) sound vibrations. After all, the speaker, which gives out the desired melodies and rhythms, has the reverse, the back side. And it also sounds, but it’s not always melodic. This extra “not musicality” just cuts off the body of the speaker system, where the rear of the speaker is facing. Rather, it must cut, or rather, – muffle.
In fact, the rectangular case copes with its task hardly half.
The inner surfaces of the box are flat, parallel. There you have the reflectors. And in it there are corners, – sound waves reflected from the walls accumulate in them. Born in this way, unwanted sound – the “parasite” bursts out. Just like a prisoner in a solitary cell, rushing about in four walls. In despair, he “rushes” to the same place from where he appeared, on the back of the speaker, who is not at all happy about the “parasite”.
And also the rectangular acoustic column has an external surface, – also a convenient platform for extraneous sound radiations. Specialists are familiar with the effect of BuffleStep, (screen effect) adversely affecting the sound field, – this is a long-standing stumbling block for the creators of “box” acoustics.
Such a heart-rending “sound drama” that occurs with the case of a rectangular acoustic column, of course, does not ennoble the sound environment. That, in general, is reflected in the quality of any acoustic systems 5.1, 2.1, etc. And the desired musical palette noticeably fades.
Acoustic Hi-Fi systems. Where is the way out? H5>
A way out looking for a long time. But all the efforts of designers and design delicacies are reduced to those same notorious “boxes”. Hi-Fi acoustic systems are being improved, technologies are offered in a variety of ways and modern materials are used. Rectangular bodies are now produced not only from the usual materials, wood and plastic: in the course of glass, and metal, and even casting from concrete.
And the inevitable “parasitic” sound vibrations are neutralized digitally, bashfully burying the sound of a living, clean … What to do, the enchanted simplicity and technology of “boxes” solutions manufacturers can not get out of captivity templates and standards. And the solution is still far from ideal. And still in our homes live all the same sounding “boxes” and “boxes”, marked by different brands, solid and not very, but there is another option for home acoustics. Boxes go to the past!
And if this is a ball? h5>
And now imagine: the sounding sphere. Impressive, is not it? “How, the acoustic column is a ball?” – you ask. Exactly! After all, the round column, just the closest, to solving the problem of ideal sound. A sphere, a sphere is not just an ideal form, an absolutely organic object, of which you can talk endlessly about the various properties. Not only the optimal ratio of form and content, size and volume, embodied beauty and pacification.
It is also an absolutely amazing inner space. For example, for a sound wave: evenly reflected from the inner surface of a sphere, it is optimally neutralized, damped, extinguished. The same thing happens with the sound “parasite”: getting inside the round case, it falls asleep, as in nirvana, and no longer worried about the speaker, which now sounds free and without interference. And about the above-mentioned negative effect BuffleStep in our case, you can simply forget.
We place the speaker in a ball-shaped case, we cut off all unnecessary, we get professional columns b>, and the sound becomes clearer, brighter, juicier and more voluminous. However, you have the opportunity to see this. We present to you an innovative project, based on fundamental scientific research, as well as long-term research and technological developments.
Spherical speakers are a technological breakthrough from “Deluxe Acoustics”. In place of “boxes” in your house come amazing sounding balls.
Turn on the globe! h5>
The beginning of the history of the company put an old school globe, about half a meter in diameter. The idea to use it as a hull for professional acoustic speakers came to the future founder of the company, since childhood infatuated with various electro-acoustic devices. In the globe, for the sake of interest, a small speaker was placed – what is not a spherical column? The result of the experiment surpassed the most daring expectations: even the mono system sounded surprisingly voluminous and deep. Moreover, without additional tricks with the pipes of bass reflexes, finishing the case with expensive materials and so on. It was a victory!
Time for success h5>
Improvised musical globe long pleased guests and hosts not only with unusual sound, but also solar, positive design in yellow color. But the creator grew up and developed, life changed. So there was a desire to improve the system: to develop something more serious, professional.
But how and where to move? After all, all sorts of “box” designs and experiments with copying the most advanced acoustic systems of leading manufacturers did not lead to the desired result: the column-ball managed to radically change the very attitude to sound.
A turning point in the preparation of a technological breakthrough to the production of spherical columns came in 1994. By this time, behind the shoulders of the creator was a solid baggage of developments in the form of rework and improvement of domestic-made speakers, changes in their technical characteristics, experiments on design and sales of products through specialized commission stores. Basically it was, of course, boxes. But the goal remained unchanged: just a ball!
In the same year, the first three-band high-frequency acoustic system appeared in a spherical casing with a diameter of 450 mm, with a hand-assembled speaker based on devices for professional activity produced by LOMO then. At the top of the main body there was a rotating mid-high-frequency link, which made it possible to adapt the sound to the features of the room. The installation was immediately dubbed “alien” – for an unprecedented spherical body, and “live” appearance.
But its main advantage was still unusually surround sound and velvet basses. Low frequencies, habitually beating in the chest at discotheques and various musical events, here very gently filled the space of the room and spread beyond it – the sound did not press on the ears. This system, which existed for a long time not only as a home, but also on the sound of various events, was destined to become an experimental prototype of the product line produced by the company “Deluxe Acoustics”.

“Acoustic dream” and reality: live sound, or recording? h5>
Initially, for the dissemination of information about acoustic systems among friends and acquaintances, the innovation was called “Acoustic Dream” (AcousticDreams): it was hard to get used to the idea that the dream of high-tech spherical acoustics and its production embodiment may soon become a reality.
After one day, hearing behind the door the record reproduced by a spherical column, the owner was complimented for a high-grade game on the guitar, it became clear – the goal was achieved. The guests took a musical recording for a live sound, – so realistic it sounded! Acknowledgment of the steel and numerous enthusiastic reviews from connoisseurs and experts, so they were met by speakers for professionals and just fans of a truly pure sound. “Acoustic dreams” has come time to be implemented, and the name.
Acoustic Dreams was decided to be replaced by “Deluxe Acoustics”, – more promising, timely and expedient.

Course – modernization and manufacturability h5>
The following years were filled with searches with the overall goal of further improving spherical acoustic systems. Design development went in parallel with the modernization: the ball-shaped enclosures were equipped with the latest high-quality speakers and modern compact high-frequency radiators. Alloy of design and design thought gave birth to high-tech Sound Flowers: these round columns on elegant long legs were the first in the product line of “Deluxe Acoustics”.
With futuristic “sounding colors” and the modern history of the company, officially registered in 2012, begins.
Today, “Deluxe Acoustics” is a modern, dynamically developing “engineering” company, with a course for further improvement and modernization of Hi-Fi high-tech acoustic systems. “Deluxe Acoustics” is a fusion of the classical theory of electroacoustics with modern digital technologies of recording and transmission of sound.
Among the company’s regular partners are firms that have grown up from the once famous organizations: LOMO, the Acoustics Institute of Acoustics and Acoustics. Popova (“IRPA”), as well as private masters and professionals. As production areas
