The history of the company “Deluxe Acoustics” began in the far 90s, with the first experiments on improving the sound of acoustics, including, due to the shape of the case. The prototype of a spherical acoustic system was the old school globe, with a diameter of 45 cm, where the speaker was placed. The experiment was a success: the unusual shape of the case significantly enriched the sound characteristics. The round column sounded surprisingly voluminous and deep, even without finishing and additional equipment.
Subsequent experiments and developments have been associated with the modernization of domestic-made speakers and various Western brands of Hi-Fi class. But all of them were, basically, in rectangular cases, which did not lead to the desired effect and did not approach the quality of the sound produced by the spherical column. So there was an understanding of the need to focus efforts and search for optimization and technology is the round enclosures.
In 1994, the first three-band high-frequency acoustic system appeared in a spherical case with a diameter of 450 mm, with a hand-assembled speaker based on instruments for professional activity. Among the advantages of the installation, in addition to the appearance and design, were unusually surround sound and not beating in the chest “velvet” bass. The column served as a prototype for Sound Flowers, a universal floor-standing two-way Hi-Fi sound system, the most popular in the current product line of “Deluxe Acoustics”.
Today, “Deluxe Acoustics”, officially registered in 2012, is a modern, dynamically developing engineering company, with a course for further improvement and modernization of Hi-Fi high-tech acoustic systems. “Deluxe Acoustics” is a merger of the classic theory of electro-acoustics with modern digital technologies of recording and transmission of sound.
Among the permanent partners of the company are firms that have grown up from the once famous organizations: LOMO, the Institute for Broadcast Reception and Acoustics named after A.S. Popova (IRPA), as well as private masters and professionals. The experimental shops of a number of private and industrial enterprises working in the field of sound engineering and material processing with modern high-tech methods are used as production areas.
The creators of the spherical acoustic systems “Deluxe Acoustics” cherish the most sincere hopes for the revival of high-end audio equipment of domestic production, with the mark “made in Russia.”
One of the main tasks of the company is the desire to bring the once elitist Hi-Fi sound to the mass consumer, to make high-class acoustics popular and widely available.
